X-Deep
Apex
Dive Rite

OR go on line to a EU dive store and buy all the bits to assemble yourself (bladder, webbing harness and hardware) plate of choice to match your diving

None of it is complicated

Are any of the 3 above inline with GUE guidelines (without any gimmicks or extra D-rings)?
Any specific reason to consider these over DTD?

Just put something together on divegearexpress. Free shipping internationally!

Shipping is not the issue. VAT on entering the EU is.

Exactly! VAT stings!
Honestly after looong researches DTD looks like the best bang for the bucks (within EU)

But I have very little experience with bpw gears

Dive Rite should be sold by EU dealers.

They are! (Palanquee.com for exemple)

Perhaps I'm confused but, a quick comparison between DGX and DTD for a comparable set up

DTD: 465 Euros, including VAT

DGX: $350 converts to $317 Euros. Add 19% VAT and you're at 376 Euros, including VAT

Well, unfortunately that is not the reality. VAT in Portugal is 23%, not 19% and you always pay more X% for this and Y% for that.
Buying products of significant value (higher than 20 euros, I guess) outside of the EU, it is simply a nightmare.

P.S.: On top of that it needs to go back and forth to the USA, if a repair is needed.

It is, my VAT comment was to "divegearexpress", but any specific reason to consider them over DTD?

I know nothing about DTD. However, if you can order Dive Rite products from an EU dealer rather than from a US dealer (Dgx), then why don’t you? Makes no sense to me to order from the US if you can get it from an EU dealer.

Ofc it makes no sense but I was never considering ordering from a US dealer.
