Brand new with questions

I just got back from a trip to Cosumel, Mexico and did my first two dives there. I absolutely loved it. I am now back in Los Angeles, and have a few questions:

1. Where are good locations for diving in the Southern California area?

2. Can anyone recommend any places in the Southern California area for getting certified?

Come join us over in the socal subforum. There are many local, active divers. This weekend, many of us will be going down to Laguna Beach for a couple dives. People dive every week from Ventura down to Laguna.....even further north and south if you want to travel that far....and of course, there are boat charters all the time. We'd love to have you join us when you get certified!
