Hi All - some of you may have read I just soaked and stuffed my Inon Z-240.

I was looking around yesterday to replace it with a SnS D1. This morning I have had a 'thought bubble' - is buying another flash the best way forward?

I do mainly macro photography, I own a SnS 110a and I'm wondering if it is better to buy one of the new lights rather than a new strobe.

What do you think is the best way forward?

I have done a little macro photography with lights and it works well from a technical point of view. However, the critters don't like the bright light and often shy away from it. It's probably not very good for them either.

another strobe, A video light can be used but color and motion are much harder to control that way and you will do a lot of photoshop to make it look good.

Thanks again Bill, I will take your advice. SnS D1 it is.
