I understand it broke in two during Wilma. CozumelInsider lists it as closed for coral re-generation -- but that was 8 months ago.

Anybody know the status? If its open, is it penetrable?

I was there in February and did a dive on it. Didn't go inside as I had two students with me, but the wreck looked pretty much like it always does...

My group was the last to dive it before Wilma hit. In fact, it was our last dive of the trip! I'd heard that the surge had cracked or broken it in half. I don't know if that rumor is true or not...

The "broken in two" descriptions were exaggerated. It has a big fissure but it's not lying there in two pieces. It's open to divers. No better or worse of a dive then before.

Excellent news....I was afraid Wilma had trashed it permanently.
