The news story reported on two accidents but I am separating them...

1 abalone diver dead, 1 missing off Mendocino County Coast | PressDemocrat.com
Emergency officials continued to search Monday for a man who disappeared Saturday while abalone diving with three other men south of Fort Bragg at Pine Beach.

It's unclear what happened to the man, but another man in his group was pulled out to sea by a rip tide, officials said.

The second man was pulled to safety by emergency responders, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

The names of the men were not available Monday, but they reportedly were from outside of the county, said Mendocino Volunteer Fire Chief Danny Hervilla.

Missing diver IDed as William Kim, 37, of Los Angeles http://www.ukiahdailyjournal.com/ci_18181087
