This was last week in Cabo Pulmo.

Mostly shot with a Hero 3+ Black, although there are a few very short scenes done with an iPhone 5s as well as my girlfriends Sony Playsport.

You can really tell the difference between protune and red filter (my PolarPro broke after the first day). Got some pretty epic footage

I know what you mean, used a Go Pro for the first time a few months ago and was surprised at how much time it took toget used to using it, even just in terms of getting the subject in the frame (It would have heled to have a screen on the back I have to admit!).

Great video - I want to go there. What accessories did you use (other than the monopod)?

Thanks!

I used the Xshot 2.0 monopod extender for one day (for the selfies and the close-up shots)

The other 2 days I used this aluminum handgrip which was really sturdy and solid. Got some more stable shots with this.

I used this low tech retractable reel to keep it tethered to my harness after dropping the Xshot on my first day

On the first day I used a PolarPro Red Filter + Macro Lens. I do NOT recommend this as it cracked on the first day rendering it not usable for the rest of the trip.

I placed the Hero 3+ in the original Hero 3 housing and added a Battery BacPac. This was extremely useful as I followed El Pistoffo's advice and shot mostly with Protune Raw which really brought out some great colors but uses battery and memory like a fiend.

That's pretty much about it as far as accessories. Next trip (Cozumel in April) I plan to use the floaty attachment and a Backscatter Flip3.1 system

Thanks!

It was mentioned in this thread: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/gopro-video/463431-red-filter-polarpro-vs-backscatter-flip3-2.html that Polar Pro seems to be replacing that broken filter at no charge with a newer design. You might want to look into that.
