I just took a look and I'm betting it's because your AF Mode is set to Quick mode. You have to set it to Live mode by going to your Menu > Live View/Movie func. set > AF Mode.

Thanks c0r3yz! I have just started playing with UW video and had been going out of Live View and shooting a still to reset the focus. This is great.
