At the first light of dawn, the search for the diver who was missing yesterday in a cave in front of the beach of Cala Luna in Dorgali resumed. This is Paolo Sedda, 48 years old from Gavoi, an agent of the Nuoro Police Headquarters who had dived yesterday morning together with an instructor from the Cala Gonone diving center and four other divers to explore the cave of the Risorgenza, but has never re-emerged.
The comrades gave the alarm and the divers of the fire brigade worked on the spot all afternoon and until late yesterday evening.
The Nuoro Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the matter.
This morning the divers continue their search inside the cave which extends for about 500 meters and reaches a depth of 40 meters. On site there are the patrol boats of the Olbia Harbor Master's Office, the Carabinieri and colleagues from the Nuoro di Sedda Police Headquarters.
The command of the fire brigade of the capital of Barbagia sent the local crisis unit to coordinate all operations.
