I'm trying to locate the nearest cavern to Lake okeechobee, on the east side. I'm pretty sure thats central FL. I'm about on hour north of Lake City FL by the turnpike.

I'll be monitoring this thread for any positive results as I'm close to Lake O (Port St. Lucie) and have never heard of caverns near the lake.
Perhaps I've mis-interpreted your question though. Are you asking for the location of the nearest cavern dive location from a departure point on the E. side of the lake?

My father in law has a cabin on the east side of lake Okeechobee and we'll be there this wkend.
If there is'nt a cavern nearby we would still be interest in some fresh water diving.
