I will be going to playa del carmen in about 3 weeks and want to take the cavern and intro cave classes. Can anyone recommend which organization would be better IANTD vs. TDI and whom would be a good instructor in that area. Thanks, and sorry if this has been asked before. I do have all my gear and did some cenote diving there last year. Just want to explore the best option. Thanks.

You know what they say it is the instructor not the agency. I too cavern and intro with Fernando del Valle Prieto from ProTec. He was a really good instructor. Gave us plenty of challenges and passed on a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommended.

Steve Gerrard is one of the best down there so I've heard. He's one of the pioneers of cave diving in the area.
