Hi,

When I use my C5050 to take some movie fotage, it always gets downloaded as a quicktime file. This means I can't edit it in Windows. Does anyone
a) know of a free program (or how to) change quicktime files to windows files?
b) stop it from happening again?

Thanks heaps!

It's not free($29), but I like the looks of this one:

Haven't used it though.

Hi Steve,

That's what I'm using at the moment, but just a trial version. Unfortunately it came up with a logo in the middle of the video screen, so it looks like i will have to buy it. It was easy enough to use, so that's good.

Thanks,
Mel

At the moment neither can I. I have it set up as a favorite at home on another computer. I'll be home in 45 mins and I'll post another link then.

OK. I think the site was down for a bit but it is back up again now.
The link above takes you to the specific page you need. However there might be others as well. The home page for the site is;
http://www.videohelp.com/

The actual tool you need is called Rad Video Tools - you can download it from here:

Seems to me the "Pro" (or something) version of QuickTime -- available for download from their website, but also for about $30 (what a coincidence!) -- will also convert QT to other Microsoft-compatible formats.

The one I've linked to is Freeware! :eyebrow:
