I found Deep Descent to be very thorough.

I have also enjoyed Dark Descent, but I have to be honest, I've had to push myself
to keep reading. The writing is about as boring and dry as it gets (the style, not the
content). The only thing that's kept me going is that every once in a while, a really
good story shows up, or a neat fact... i wish it were better written.
 
Deep Sea Detectives featuring him as a technical diver on on the history channel has some enlightening stories.
