We took some AOW students out to the tower reef both Saturday and Sunday.

The weather word Saturday was for 15 knot winds.
The winds didn't show up. Sunday was flatter still.

Bottom temps were measured at 48-50 degrees. The divemaster bagged an 18 inch tautog.

It's still a bit nippy for most.

Don, which shop do you work for? I was down with Lynnhaven this past weekend...

Hey Cornfed,
What dive(s) did you do this past weekend. My girlfriend and I dove the Gulf Hustler on Sat.

Chappy

We dove the Lukenbach on Saturday and went to the Hustler on Sunday to pick up your anchor.

Ha Ha. Yeah, that was a treat! There were still five divers on the Hustler when the line broke. When you going out again?

Too chilly for me. Let me know when the water temps get above 70 F.

Yeah, they were passing out safty sausages to everyone on Sunday! :D

With them? Don't know. Some of us are talking about going down towards the end of next month but we haven't confirmed anything yet.

What are the dive conditions there? (Other then cold)

Vis? currents?

We had about 20 feet of vis on the bottom but up around 20 feet it dropped to 2. The current wasn't strong but it was noticeable.

I do some diving and driving for Divers Unlimited out of Norfolk.

The guy dying on Sunday really slowed dive trip participation around here. We don't have anyone signed up for this weekend, even though it wasn't our shop.

I could use a little time off, so I'm going to roll with it and not worry too much until June. We may do some discovery dive trips if the trip signups aren't there.
