Hi All,
I have a Cobra 3 that I have logged over 900 dive without any issues. last night, I was awakened by a beeping sound. After stumbling through the dark, I isolated it to my Cobra 3. The display was flashing and the display went crazy. My first thought (hope) was it was the battery. I changed the battery and it started to boot correctly. The second I pushed the MODE button to DIVE the issue returned.
I suspected the issue might be with the pressure sensor so prior to packing it and shipping it off for repairs, I soaked it in a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water. After 1/2 hour, I rinsed it and tested it again. Seems to be working fine.
I would like to get some comments from the experts on this. Was it just dirty or is it just the start of the unit failing for good?
Thanks in advance...
