Colpoys Bay/Wiarton

Looking for information on dive sites in the area of Wiarton and Colpoys Bay.Live close to the area but have never dove there.

Hey zimmy if you get a chance you should ask the same question on ontario diving you might get more answers, sorry i cant help you out i do most of my diving in tobermory.

Cedar Hill is on the south shore about 10 km out of Wiarton. It's a little park with picnick tables for gearing up. Cobblestone beach, nice slope out to 100+ ft. Underater, divers have put various stuff like bicycles, furniture, signposts, etc to make training dives fun. Sometimes a current, sometimes not. Diveshops in the Kitchener/Waterloo area use Cedar Hill for training, but it's a fun place for tune up dives.

Thanks for the info. Dove the Tugs today. Great dive ,good vis, water temp. 37(f) and managed a 41 min. dive.

Sounds like a good dive. How good was the viz? Last time I was there was the end of October.

The vis. was 30-35 feet and there were only a couple of very small fish.
