I looked at the NOAA forecast and it states "EAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS"...i'm assuming no one is going out in those conditions...any east coast locals around with a forecast?
Thanks.

Sandbar:Similar forecast to last weekend here in South Florida. Went out on Saturday, and was actually 2-3 with an occassional 4. NOAA is reliable, but will always err on the side of caution.
They certainly blow it (no pun intended) every now and then. I'm just saying...as a South Florida native...more often than not, conditions will be less severe than the forecast. Sorry to hear it went the other way for you.erparamedic:Not to burst any bubbles...
But NOAA was waaaay off on one of the days we were in FL. Called for seas 2 ft or less... wound up being seas of 4-6 ft! HURL!
