...for making 50 dives:)

Gotta say Nicole you've impressed me with your dedication to being a great diver, and it shows. I know ya been waiting to change that little dive counter for a while lol. Next stop 100! I look forward to many more dives together with you and Stephen.

I would have thought that Nicole had more than fifty dives,as she seems very relaxed and has good buoyancy control when diving. Anyway, glad to see you and Stephen out there diving and enjoying life.Congratulations!

Thanks guys! It has certainly been a pleasure making those 50 dives, and even more so now that I've been able to add to my list of buddies! I look forward to making the next 50 dives....and the 100 after that....and so on!

To celebrate my 50, I think I'm gonna go make a dive out at Vet's this afternoon (that is, if my new divers don't flake out on me, which will really upset me if I drive out there and they don't show up, and Stephen gets to free dive for a couple hours!). So wish me luck, and I can't wait to continue diving with everyone!

Oh, and if anyone can get me a job closer to the beach, so I can move closer to the beach, I would be eternally grateful! 100 dives per year may just not be enough...

Congrats on hitting 50

Congrats Nicole on your first 50!!!!

I too thought you had more the way you handle yourself.... women just get it and I struggle to figure it out even after 100 dives. :dork2: It sure helps that you dive very regularly and seem to love to learn. Enjoy the next 50+

Well, today's dive was a no-go. I should learn my lesson....every time I mention that I'm going out on an additional dive, I never seem to make it. The new divers showed up, but the water was super choppy. From the parking lot, it didn't look too bad....maybe 1 foot surf, but short interval between waves. Figured we could do it, so we suited up and went down. Turns out the surf was closer to 2 feet, with the occasional 3-4 footer. Got in, waited for my new divers, started out on the surface swim and then realized that I had lost my mask somewhere....heh, took me till we were about to descend to realize it!

Oh well, we had great dives yesterday and it was good enough for me. I would have loved to make the dive today, but I have a feeling it would have been crappy vis anyways (or at least I'll keep telling myself that ). Hopefully things calm down so we can dive again next weekend!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. It has been my pleasure making those dives!

Wow! 50 already, that’s fantastic! Let’s just hope we get to dive together before your 100th!

Dave, do you just do boat dives these days (other than from Casino Point)? Stephen and I are too poor to do boat dives for the most part :blinking: But we'd love to get a dive in with you and your wife! Sometime early 2009???

BTW, for those of you who got to view the incredibly hilarious donning of my fins in the drysuit, I hate to tell you that I've officially discovered the art of doing it gracefully! 'Bout freaking time....four flailing attempts, one slightly better one, one even better, and then all of the sudden it's not an issue (I'll only tell my secret if someone else has the same issues as I did and I get to see the funny-ness :rofl3:).

50 dives in five months....think I'll try to get 70 in over the next six months, and then celebrate in Hawaii! :D

Well done Nicole, 50 dives in 5 months is impressive. You've advanced far in a short time, keep it up.
