What is the threading of the conshelf first stage regulator? 3/8" or 7/16"?

That depends on how old it is. Early XIVs have all 3/8" ports. The newer ones (made up until a couple of years ago) have 7/16 HP port and three 3/8 LP ports.

It most likely has all 3/8 ports. But that is no problem. Adapters are cheap and easy to find that let you install a new 7/16 HP hose.
Or just buy a 3/8 HP hose. Trident still sells them.
