Margarita del Sol - Eco - Boutique - Hotel

Margarita del Sol is an eco-tourist boutique hotel. Each of the eight-oceanfront rooms has a private bathroom and kitchen. The guest rooms are located just meters from the sea. Each pod of 4 rooms has a large central palapa for outdoor activities. Our guests are from all parts of the world. Our primary market is North America (USA and Canada) and Mexico, with a secondary market from Europe. Our guests come to enjoy the local diving, relaxing on the beach or family gatherings.

The facility is completely self-sufficient. All of our electric is generated from solar and wind power with a diesel generator back up. Our system is one of the largest in the area and supplies all our need for almost ever convenience. The water is provided by stored rainwater.

Most of the time we operate as a hotel. But, during the summer we run an eco summer camp for teenagers. This is an opportunity for teenagers to learn about local ecology and practice language skills. In the past, experts from the National Aquarium in Baltimore were part of the teaching team. We also partner with local ecology groups to promote good environmental stewardship. We have been in operation for 5 years.

We feel our current opening for a Site Manger Couple / Team is a great opportunity Since we are a small operation, the position comprises every aspect of running the facility. This includes both fronts of house (reception, guest services) and back of house (housekeeping, maintenance).

While we currently do not have an on site dive operation, we feel this is a great opportunity for a dive professional. We feel a dive professional would be a good fit to help promote good ecology practices. This is a chance to live and work in a tropical paradise with a guaranteed income and generous benefits. Also, there is the opportunity for extra income from dive instruction and leading groups.

Some of the benefits include:

· Private housing for the individual or couple

· Satellite internet

· All utilities – gas – water – electric

· Use of company truck

· Business gas allowance – any additional gas at personal expense.

· Medical (with legal Mexican working papers)

· Paid Vacation

· Christmas bonus

· Additional compensation bonus depending on occupancy

The position requires a highly motivated and organized self-starter. The person must be able to set goals and tasks and accomplish them without direct supervision. This is an opportunity to actually run the entire business. It would be a good opportunity for anyone considering to eventually starting his or her own business.

A typical day may encompass any aspect of the operation. You may start the day by checking guest out of their room. Then spend some time cleaning and changing the room getting it ready for the next guest. Socialize with the guest and make sure their needs are exceeded. Follow that by washing and folding laundry. In the afternoon, take care of guests who want to take out the kayaks and go snorkeling. And finally prepare reports for expenses. This is just an example, but the position does require every aspect of the operation.

We wanted to make it clear that this is not a typical dive industry position, such as a staff instructor or dive master. We feel that many dive professionals exhibit the dedication, motivation and customer focus key to this position. Unlike the variability of income and lack of benefits usually associated with working the dive industry, we are offering a more stable and potential longer term employment. There may be some additional business and income opportunities for the right individual or couple.

If you feel up to a challenge of a new career in paradise, please respond back to us.

We wanted to provide you with more details related to the current open position. For those who respond a continued interest, we will review your data.

Our goal is to fill the current open position by Mid-December of 2009.
