The whyndam Resort. is on the south side and the taxy ride is $15usd, for a group of 4 person. After 5 the price go up to 25 to 30usd. is better to rent a car if you are a group of more than 5 people.
regarding activitys for the teens they can do snorkeling or parasailing, as you might know the main activity here on the Island is Diving,,, so you should have them try at least the begginers program.. whis is call Discover scuba diving Plus. it can take aproximatly 4 hours... the entyre program. they can learn all the basick skills of Scuba and they get supervised by a PADI Instructor. this pregram is individuals or groups of maximun 4 studentes per, Inst. is very fun and safe.. they can get to visit the most beautiful coral reefs in cozumel..
also while you here you can plan a day of tour around the island or visit the Mayan ruins... you will enjoy a trip to the mainland... you can stop and shop around Playa del Carmen....
