Hi every,

I have a D1 coming in and I've been reading that it's more buoyant and requires about five more pounds. I was wondering what this 5 more pounds was in reference to. Is it 5 lbs more than no suit, a 3mm, 7mm, a non-lined dry suit? I usually dive with 18lbs with a 2 piece 3 and a LP 121, so I'm trying to figure out what my new weight situation will be.

Thanks,
Rich

Few kilos more than what you would need with a normal trilaminate drysuit with cold water undergarments. It is not exact of course and you should just do a proper weight check.
