Eric,

Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful poem with all of us. More so, thank you for being able to express in writing those wonderful feelings.

cheers,
Maria

Dude, you've got way too much time on your hands during your layovers... :D

All kidding aside, nice going mempilot! Not that I envy you, but scbababe is the poet in our family. BTW, did you get to read her poem The Rose?

You need to also put poet on your profile. That was a great poem. Girls just love that kind of stuff!

Eric,

Thanks for the beautiful poems. I know it is hard, but she didn't deserve you anyway. You will find another diving gal and she will appreciate your writing talents. Chin up!

Beautiful poetry there Mem. Look forward to reading more.

Thanks for the poetry. Would you mind if we put it on our website? We have a place for poetry. Check it out: www.Deepsouthdivers.org

Baitedstorm asked for another poem. So here it is, fresh from my thoughts about a girl that I once loved, lost, found, and can no longer have.

Lost Love

As I sit here and gaze over the ocean so vast
A whisper on the breeze, brings forth the past

My memories of her seem so removed and distant
In a dream she appears, the emotion is eminent

I can see her now; her beauty profound
Just the way I remembered, our lust did abound

I would cross this sea, it’s waves and it’s storms
To have one last chance at love once scorned

In my dreams I have missed her, I now see
Life has gone on, there is no chance for me

I sit here and gaze over the ocean, dreaming it’s her I see
Pretending she's on the other side, doing the same for me
