Hey Guys,

There is still about a month or so: (give or take) until boats and jet skis take over Deep Creek. Current water temperature is in the mid-forties at depth. Visibility is just around 10'. If anyone is interested in a chilly spring dive there let me know.

Sorry if I sound judgemental, but, why would anybody want to do that?

I think you will find Wiley here on Scuba Board as well as in dive communities all over the eastern U.S. coast that many divers have an interest in cold water diving. While cold water diving is more taxing then diving in the Caribbean or tropical Atlantic, with the proper equipment it is an enjoyable expierence. It allows divers to maintain their skills without the need for long travel and many divers enjoy it. There are several lakes within 1-3 hours of MD where I live that many divers flock too.

Jeremy, are you still looking for someone to do Deep Creek anytime soon? I'm considering a drive down some evening after work. Could be there by 5 or so. Enough time to get one good dive in.
