Yes depth limit in Maldives is restricted to 30 meters, deco diving and technical diving are forbiden.
However you can do the PADI Specialty course but will not pass that depth. You will learn the safety procedures involved in Deep diving and techniques but to a maximum practice depth of 30 meters. You will be certified to reach 40 meters in other destinations.
