Will Blue Threadlocker work with Delrin? Does it stick?

Thank You!

Um... just curious now, what are you doing?

I'd tell but I'd have to.... :)

No seriously the latch on my Helious 9 can is tweeked (it came that way) it doesn't close "true." I called Halcyon and they said that I could
A) Send it in so they could replace it for me or

B) They can send me a latch and I can do it myself. It's a no brainer. The Halcyon Guy expressed some concern that maybe the threads will be a bit compromised when unscrewed and rescrewed in the delrin so he suggested some thread lock. Neither of us knew if it would "stick" so I turn to this area of the board.

Here is a link to Loctite with their suggestions for how to work with Delrin

See sheets 12-13 of their bonding plastics adhesives guide
http://www.loctite.us/int_henkel/loctite_us/binarydata/pdf/lt2197_PlasticsBondGguide.pdf

I found other data also such as:
-----------------------------------------------------
Suggested Guidelines for Adhesion of Delrin

http://www.polygoncompany.com/Guidelines_for_Adhesion_of_Delrin_to_AeroSlide.pdf
-----------------------------------------------------
The Loctite data sheets in the link show that the use of a primer followed by Loctite 411 cyanoacrylate will give a satisfactory bond on acetal (Delrin).

Loctite will usually supply samples of their products if you call the Loctite sales offices.
-----------------------------------------------------

Hope that helps

Thanks for all the info! I very much appreciate it!

Thread lock, and most loctite products are cyanacrolates or anarobics.
They don't like water!
