Dive Clubs in Miami?

Hello,

Are there any active dive clubs in our around Miami? My fiance and I got OW certified, but he's not wanted to dive as often as I want to. I don't want to let that stop me

There are a lot of active divers here on Scuba Board. South Florida has a lot of them. People are always posting offers to dive with members.

Fiance doesn't like to dive as much as you huh? You might want to think about looking for a new fiance..... J/K.

Not in a dive club but am a local and I live in North Miami Beach. I can show you some beach dives in Hollywood if you want, or keep an eye out for the plethora of boat dives around.

Miami has a scuba club (http://www.activedivers.org) that has planned dives every weekend (some weekends muliple dives/locations) between Apr and Nov. Dives rotate from Islamorada in the south to WPB in the north, and has about 300 members.

I know there is another club based out of Hollywood (http://www.sfdi.com) that meets on Wed. socially, but typically does not have as many planned dives.

In Miami there are a couple I know of, but am not a member

Active Divers (google for the web site) - have heard good things; you may want to research this one

Diga Dive Club - attended a meeting way back in the 80's - did not join


The other option you have is to get on RJ Diving Ventures web site, get on their e mail list - local diving; not all is suitable for new divers, but some of their dives are rjdiving.com

I see that you're a friend of WetDawg! Did you take your classes from him? He's a great instructor. He also has a group on facebook who dives regularly. PM him for the info or look him up on FB.

And as Scott said, there are tons of locals on this board and we often post shore and boat dives for all to join!
