I hear a lot of anecdotal evidence about this manufacturer of that one having a higher failure rate/return rates than others. Does anybody know where I can find some actual data on that subject? I did a search and didn't come up with anything really useful.
 
I don't think you will ever find that.
Mfgrs are not going to publish there return rates, and there is not enough data public to calculate failers per dive, or percent of population.
 
True, hard data may be hard to find. But this thread about air-integrated computers might have some useful anecdotes. Also, try searching on failure or reliability in this forum.
