Personally I like air integrated console style. I like the flava flav look and feel. If I was gonna buy one for a grand or less right now I would probably go for the suunto cobra 3.

If you're serious about the scuba hobby over time, that'll almost certainly change. There are locations where ocean diving tends to be shallow (e.g.: the Florida Keys), but many destinations feature diving deeper than 60 feet, and while you can often stay that shallow if you wish, it's a good bet you'll be doing some deeper diving eventually.

The 70 degrees interests me. If you dive locally, I believe water temp.s will vary considerably seasonally. If you travel to dive, such as the Florida Keys, Cozumel, Roatan, Bonaire, Belize, etc..., you'll likely dive substantially warmer waters at times. That shouldn't be an issue in computer choice, but be aware.
