Hello

What length of light arms do you use with your camera/housing underwater? Just trying to get a sense of what is needed and what is overkill.

Thanks
Chris

This really depends on the camera system you are using (degree of coverage for the lens, power of the lights, etc).

Generally, I set people up with (2) 5" Ultralight arms for smaller systems (HC42, PC1000,etc.) For larger systems (HC1, HC1000, VX2100, FX1) I usually recommend an 8" arm and a 5" arm.

Thanks for the reply.

My setup is a Canon GL2 in an Equinox housing. With either a .7 or a .5 wide angle lens and two UK Light Canon 100 HID lights. With the lights I am using two diffusers supplied with the lights to spread the beam out. Most diving is wrecks in the Southern Ontario area, so the water is greenish, cold and deep.

Thanks
Chris

Chris I think you should be perfectly fine with the 8" and 5" arm combo.
