I will be traveling around the Philippines later next year 07, could anybody recommend any shops on the island of Samar. Any help greatly appreciated.

JoieD, I'm originally from Northern Samar. Right now no dive operators yet but the marine sanctuary in San Antonio and Victoria has tanks and air compressor... We went diving with them a year ago.. I might go diving there again mid May. I don't recomend 4th quarter of the year in Samar. Oct-Dec is typhoon season and it's always on the path... But if you want to surf and sail, that's the best time to go...

Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the details. Would you hae any contact info so I can make some arrangements with them. Greatly appreciate it.

I was hoping to do some diving in Nortern Samar this summer, but gave up because I could not find any dive shops available. So I am going to Sipidan (Malaysian Borneo) instead! If anybody does have info on dive shops in Samar, I would love to hear about it!

Kindly describe your diving experience in Samar- things seen, visibility, currents, how to get there, etc. Thanks.
This request is open to anybody else who has the right info.
