Site Location Alhambra
Water Temp 67
Vizibility: 1 ft if that.
Tide state if you know it: low
Wind direction and strength: out of the east gentle breeze
Surf: Nice and calm
Presence of drift algae: Plenty of this crap!

Went out this morning with Da Nizz and Viz was crappy! Still better than staying home with the "honey do lists"!! Found a few small ones but you had to be right on the bottom to see anything.

I agree with cmost. The vis was horrible. I lost him twice in the first 5 min. Its probably best to dive in your bathtub until vis improves.:D

I'm sitting here looking at the Gulf on Casey Key, and from the looks of things it will be quite a while before things settle down enough to see anything on the bottom. It's as about as rough as I have seen it over the last 4 winters. Maybe it will stir up a lot of new stuff.

OK - I knew it was going to be crappy - but I am heading to Devil's Den tomorrow - I may come back down Sunday and see if it has calmed.

in at 1:30pm
Depth 9-19ft
Temp - 59 - much colder now!
Vis - 1-2ft mostly - sometimes less
weeds - none
tide - outgoing I think
Wind - light from the NE

I could tell the vis was crap all the way out. All I got were a few small teeth - one tiny Meg (I have three tiny ones now).

The bottom has been well stirred up by the big waves lately - after a few days it should be good hunting. Forecast is for it to stay flat for several days :D

Date/Time 1/24/09, 12:30-2:10, One Dive
Site Location: Service Club
Water Temp: 55, per my computer
Vizability: 1' to 5', avg 2'-3'.
Tide: High
Wind: West light breeze
Surf: Calm
Sea Weed: Little to none

The sea was cold my friend. Brought two tanks, only used one. Wore a 3/2 full, with a 5 mil long sleeve shorty over that, and a 2 mil hood. My non insulated dive gloves were the weakest link.

Found one small 1-3/4" meg
