Coast Guard just reported back @6:40 pm the diver was rescued by their chopper south of the St Lucie Inlet. One happy ending to a day on the water.

Nice to see a happy ending here. :thumb:

He was fortunate indeed, this is great to hear. :yelclap:

There was another incident that day with another lobster diver not so fortunate.

"Earlier Thursday, a 39-year-old Port St. Lucie man died while diving for lobsters three miles south of the St. Lucie Inlet, officials said.
The diver, whose name was not released pending notification of next of kin, was scuba diving about 3 miles south of the inlet, Kirkpatrick said.
About 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Martin County Fire Rescue received a 911 call about the diver having heart problems after surfacing from diving."
