I was considering a few dives this weekend somewhere between Gulf Shores and Pensacola (OB jetties, Whiskey, or maybe even the O)... I have heard that red tide was affecting the beach condition in those areas and although I am from the area, I'm not that famialar with it. How are the diving conditions? Thanks for any info....

Red tide isn't a problem at the time. Surf is an important consideration for beach dives like the Whiskey and P'Cola Beach Reef. Protected areas like Alabama Point Jetties will be safe as long as you hit the tides right.

Offshore conditions aren't favorable, but according to NOAA, are improving towards the weekend.
