I'm going on a Cruise November 1, 06 and will be in the following ports for 1 day: Marselle, Genoa, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Lisbon and Ponta Delgada,Azores. The cruise line offers no dives in any of those ports and I would need to dive wihtin a reasonable distance of the port. Any help appreciated.

You can contact Carlos at http://www.espiritoazul.com . They are not in Ponta Delgada but Vila franca do Campo some 20km east. His English is fluent. This is the best Dive Center of the island, can highly reccomend them.

Hi there Don.

We're Nerus, the oldest dive centre in continuous activity in Sao Miguel, Azores Islands. We're located in Ponta Delgada marina and offer several kinds of dives depending on your interest. For further information, do visit us at www.nerusazores.com or send me an email to nerusportugal@yahoo.com with your questions.

Kind regards

Try, at Marseille itself, the Yacht Club Pointe Rouge.

They are great! If you're CMAS certified, there will be no problem. Otherwise, in France, they always downgrade the divers, and that puts certain limits to your dive's. Don't forget the medical form also, it's very usual in France to ask first for the medical form confirming you can dive, and after that asking for your level or certification.
Recommended dive sites, any of the Imperiaux or the Phare du Planier.
Good luck!
