Hi there
I see that many of you would like info on Maldives

also there was an enquiry about Maayafushi and surrounding divesites.
No doubt that Maaya Thila is a divesite to see grey reef sharks, but the coral is in very bad condition. I have been diving around Maaya Thila since May this year, and the first time I dived it was October 2000. Definitely there has been some changes since then. Imagine that in high season up to 200 divers per day visit the site to watch sharks. A lot of the coral has been kicked up, broken, held on to, but still the fish life and grey reef sharks are spectacular to watch.
To see fantastic coral life, you should visit the south part of Maldives, in Huvadhoo Atoll.
Anyone who requires more information may send me a PM.

Greetings from the Maldives
