Hi! i am writing from the cold north of Alaska!
I am venturing out solo to try diving in Loreto over the Thanks giving holiday. I have heard back from tours loreto but not dolphin dive nor 4 of the 5 places to stay that i have contacted.
i am comfortable speaking the language and showing up with a back pack and walking in to several places to find lodging and diving. however, because i have heard so little, i thought i would tap in here.
i am a calm and moderately experienced international diver with both NAUI and PADI certs. i plan to only bring my skin suit and shortie and rent the rest.
any pointers would be appreciated.

This is 3 year old information, but finding the dive shop open is hit or miss. I would take fins and mask and worst case you could rent capt and boat at small harbor and do free diving, you could still see lots. I would try to set up dives before getting there. I would think you can find lodging just showing up. 1 and 2 mil suit is all you should need.
