Since the birth of our first child 3 years ago, my wife has pretty much put diving on hold. She isn't quitting completely, but we expect she won't get in the water for at least another 2 or 3 years.
Is there any reason to continue to do annual service on her regulator? It has been serviced once since the last time it was wet, so there are no saltwater corrosion issues. It's a Sherwood, so there are no "free part kits based on annual service" issues. And I would certainly have it serviced before it gets used again. I just don't see paying $50 + parts each year for a reg that sits in a closet. Is there any other reason why I should keep up the annual service on an unused reg?
