i like this answer the bestI think this is the reason you felt too buoyant. Not being relaxed in the water makes you tighten your muscles and take deeper breaths. When you're relaxed and easy breathing it way easier to stay down.
It's not that easy. Air will certainly rise when it is released into the water, but the compressed air inside a scuba tank makes it heavier and therefore less buoyant. When you drop a turd, does it float? When you fart underwater, do the bubbles rise or sink?
But we are talking about air inside your gut. A liter of air weighs 1.29 grams at standard temperature and pressure. So if I've done my math right, we would need to compress it to 773 bar (11,211 psi) for it to becomes neutrally buoyant. It is somewhat unlikely that constipation could provide sufficient pressure, whatever it may feel like. It's not that easy. Air will certainly rise when it is released into the water, but the compressed air inside a scuba tank makes it heavier and therefore less buoyant.
I thought packed poo was the problem. Now be prepared for people to pile on and pack the thread full of poop references.
Depends on diet and a bunch of digestive factors that vary from person to person.Isn't it a well know fact that shiit floats and hence diver's buoyancy will be affected?
