I'm looking to get a dry suit for uk diving and would prefer to buy in a shop over here rather than through the internet.

As I solo dive, should I look at a front zip entry?
what model is best for durability, do they all have knee patches for example?

what kind of cost should I reasonably expect to pay if I do want durability?

thanks, greg

Hi Greg
We purchased ours from O'Three, based in Dorset.
I think we paid £750.00 each for ours, they are 5mm semi crushed neoprene. Have served us well and look quite nice as well

Kevin the guy who owns the shop is sooo helpful, I initially went down to Dorset for a fitting, and then at the London Dive Show, I had my final fitting and then received my drysuit about a week later. I also didn't have to pay the postage on this, Kevin took care of that.
Vsit their website at:www.othree.co.uk

As for the front zip entry, if you are doing mostly solo dives then this would probably suit you better, as it is I would imagine impossible to pull a rear zipper with no help :11:

Hope this has been of some help to you
Corinne

Hi Greg
I've just checked their website, and to have front entry zipper it would cost an extra £95.00
Good luck

P.S Do you live near Oban, as we will be up there on the 17th Sept-20th Sept

Greg,

I bought a british dry suit for diving in the Netherlands and chose for the otter skin suit. Have a look at the web site for more details www.drysuits.co.uk

If you wish to go to the shop and have a look you can visit diverswarehouse and they will measure you up etc.

I hope this helps

Paul

P.S. Get the high profile dump valve rather than the Low Profile Apeks!

Do yourself a favor, go and visit Otter drysuits site. There front entry is great and I can vouch for there quality.Have a look at the link below and tell me what you think and if this is what your looking for. Compaire this drysuit with the fabled DUI and you'll see that £ for £ the otter is way better and also backed up with a quality of service thats hard to find.

Othree are good drysuits but rather limited in variety and also slowish production lead-ins unless you order OTP{off the peg}

Have a look at the links below and see for yourself.
