Dual INON S2000 strobe connection

Hi,
I'm looking to get a 2nd INON S2000 strobe for my Olympus TG4 w/ S2000 set up. It looks like I can connect the 2nd strobe with either a 2nd fiberoptic in a dual port connector (to the TG4 flash), or a INON Optical D slave cable to the first strobe. What is the difference... which is preferred?

When I shoot with 2 S2000 strobes, each one gets its own fiber.
That way if one has an issue you can disconnect one and use it in slave mode.
