I love wreck alley! I'll probably be there in 2 weeks! So which boat did you take then?

Lois Ann out of Mission Bay. It was fun, Brian. Ya should have been there. We had the entire boat to ourselves, just Dave, Marian, Carmen and I.

NICE! I chartered that entire boat for June 13, Oct 17, & Oct 18 for a dive club. We have plenty of room right now too! Well at least for the 13th if anyone wants to join in!

Uh... I know Carmen is going to gloat but did anyone happen to end up with a small ziplock bag full of dry suit talc and zipper wax? I seem to have ahem... misplaced mine.

OMG... look at the twins in their fancy East Coast hats! Well, "East Coast girls are hip, I really dig those styles they wear" (even if they balk at riding in the Dr. Bill Mobile and my trusty (or is it crusty) old Toyota Tercel! I think Sam and Carmen finally understand that Dr. Bill isn't kidding when he says he is a dive bum!

Hope you had great fun in La Jolla today all.

LOL! :rofl3: Yup, we were styling :D As for the modes of transportation??? If it hadn't been rain soaked exposed foam... :idk: And you're not a bum! Player... remember?

Clammy: Me? Gloat? Nahhhh Hope someone picked it up for you or maybe you'll find it in an out of the way pocket on your next dive.

Sam & Carmen .. how did you like the Yukon and Ruby E ? ... what was the vis ?
I think the Yukon is too cool ... did you see the plaque on the bridge to Kimber's friend, Steve Donathan ?
How about the Ruby E ... with all those strawberry anemones, I think it looks like a parade float :)

Hope no one besides Sam comes back with a ziploc bag with fresh kelp blades sandwiched between paper towels! Assume they didn't get thrown out of your aunt's refrigerator, Carmen!

Brian, I'm going to point the finger at Dave since he claims his wax jobs are the best! We'll have to ask the "victim" about that!

We did dive the Yukon and Ruby E yesterday.:D

On the Yukon the vis was still limited 10 give or take, surge was moderate and water temps were a brisk 50-51 at depth. Sam and Carmen did very well given it was their first visit to our own wreck alley. Marian had something in her eye and it was so distracting she never really got comfortable. I was looking for a nudie so Carmen and Sam would get to see their first but the surge and cold temps made it difficult to spot them.

On the Ruby E, Marian sat out and JR, the Captain of the Lois Ann accepted Carmen's invitation to join us on the dive. He gladly accepted, filled his tank and pulled out his dive gear which consisted of a 5/3 hooded vest, boots and gloves to add to his mask fins, BC, tank and regs. NO WETSUIT, just the hooded vest and swim trunks for warmth! Remember, this was a 80' dive in 50f water! I thought Dr. Bill could handle the cold water pretty well but JR takes this test, hands down. Wow!

Well we all splash and head down the line. I'm determined to show Carmen and Sam the nudies that sprinkle the wreck. Shortly after we arrive, and start our exploring the deck, I find a nice FedEx and point it out to Carmen and Sam. Carmen looks at me, flashes a enthusiastic OK and then indicates she is freezing, grabs JR and they head to the bow to go up line back to San Diego's warm blue sky! Sam and I spend 10 or so more minutes before Sam starts to shiver like a wet puppy and thumbs it.

After a nice short run back to port, we packed the truck and decided to let the East Coast girls warm in the sun then head off to the nearest In-n-Out so Samantha can try out one of California's favorite food stops.

All-in all, it was a fun day!

No question about it! My wax jobs are the best!

You're looking for and showing the girls NUDIES now huh Dave?

No question about it! My wax jobs are the best!

I concur, Dave's waxs jobs are the best!

We had such a good time with all the Scubaboard folks over the past few days! I am really looking forward to invade Catalina in early June! Scubaboarders are the best dive buddies in the world!

Thanks for such fun!:)
