I need to find out some information about my new Sea&Sea DX-1G before my vacation new week 8/2 (Nekton Rorqual). :D

What flash setting do I need to use on the camera with a YS-27?

It looks like my best choices are "Auto", "Flash on" and "Soft flash". I also read somewhere that a piece of tape over the flashport would help (maybe with backscatter).

Also, what are the recommendations for YS-27 settings for both regular shots and with macro?

I can't seem to find anything in the poor documentation. There was no manual with the strobe and no underwater instructions with the camera/strobe package.

Any other tips for a new DX-1G ower would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance:
Dave
