Hello to this forum, I just registered to it (after some read-only sessions earlier).
Few weeks ago I bought the DX-2G camera (after using for the last 13 years
the Motormarine-IIEX with the last dive with it - just a month ago).
The DX-2G purchase was of the "Pro package", with everything.
For the last few weeks I'm reading the manual and experimenting with the
camera and the strobe (YS-110a) on the table (and also making a protective
cover for the strobe-end of the fiber optics strobe sync cable which also
serves as easy-attachement/removal diffuser). Today I attempted to use the
wide angle conversion lens. I already changed the settings of conversion lens
to treat attached lens as a wide angle lens. According to the manual, when
the lens is attached (or when the camera is turned on with the wide lens attached)
there should be an indication that a wide angle lens is attached. But I don't see anything
being displayed. What am I missing? Should the camera be in a specific mode (I didn't
see anything about it in the manual but maybe I missed, after all, there are 254 pages)?
I attached the wide angle lens in "auto" and "A" modes, no indication in either of them.
Does the conversion lens detection mechanism works also on land or only in the
water? How the camera detects that a conversion lens had been attached?
Thanks in advance for any help,
A_kaza.
