E-mail notifications?!?

I have suddenly started receiving email notifications for new posts in subscribed threads - even though my user options setting is set not to receive them. I really don't want to get them as they create far too many emails and my computer keeps telling me that I have new mail every few minutes!!! Is this a new bug?

Nothing changed on the server and your account shows subscribe without notification so I have no idea why you recieved any emails... were they for new updates or old ones?

I have deleted them now so I'm not sure - and it didn't do it again in the last 45 minutes. If it happens again I'll check to see wether they are old ones or new. I have a feeling they were new but I'm not sure.

p.s. This is a new laptop so it didn't have the cookies on it yet - it might be something to do with that I suppose.
