Butchered eagle ray found in East End | Cayman Compass

My first encounter with an eagle ray happened two decades ago and it was such a spectacular experience that I'll never forget it. I was exploring a rock outcropping in St. Croix (macro stuff). As I came over the top of it, an eagle ray scooted by within about 2 feet. Neither one of us was aware of the other until the encounter. The experience made a lasting impression on me. Maybe it was the same person or persons who were sexually molesting the ponies at the riding school last year.
Heinous, pointless, cruel, sick crimes.

I hope the authorities catch the perpetrator.

Department of Environment acknowledges receipt of reports of four more butchered eagle ray carcasses over the last few weeks. Total 6 and counting.

These four were in Starfish Point area.
