Fellow solo divers, does anyone know of any dive boats in the Mid-Atlantic region that will allow solo diver to dive without forcing us to buddy up with strangers or newbies? The boats I’ve been on will not, or don’t want to be openly known.

Most all of the six pack boats that lean towards tech or are tech recognise same day same ocean. Most require a private refferal or proof of your skill set via a look see dive for them to evaluate you. After that it is truly your ocean.

Best way I know of is to find another solo diver so you can go out on any boat, go in together and split up as soon as you hit the bottom.

As I recall, with a Solo cert, the necessary extra gear and demonstration of skill, the Spree out of Key West will permit you to solo. PM Wookie who is the captain and is frequently on the board.
