Editing GoPro footage

Hi all,

I was able to borrow a Go Pro Hero 2 for several weeks when diving in Australia last month. I have the files as MP4's and was wondering if anyone could recommend any free software editing programs for me and give me any tips on editing video as I have only ever edited pictures before.

I use the Go Pro Studio 2.0 editing software that is available for download on Go Pro's website. I'm a beginner too and while I purchased a more complicated Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite 12 with my new laptop, this has been pretty easy to navigate and to get a decent final product.
