I agree with you Don. My biggest problem is that by the time I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is look at a computer screen. I'm a CPA that also deals with the IT issues at work. So I have a slightly better than average understanding of computers and networking...pretty much I know enough to really screw things up. I was never a photo buff so point and shoot was made for me! Luckily, my neighbor and dive buddy is a photo nut, IT support guy and knows quite a bit about this kind of thing. So we will sometimes sit around at night with a beer, cigar and laptop and fiddle around with the photos.
 
Let's not kid ourselves. At the moment, Adobe Photoshop CS4 is the best and most powerful photo editing software out there. It is the industry standard. I used Gimp for years and think its a great program. But once I seriously tried CS4, I knew I could not go back to Gimp. CS4 is worth every penny (if you are willing to take some time to learn how to use at least some of its features).
