We are heading down the last week of Dec to spend Christmas/New Years in beautiful WARM south Florida. The Connecticut based side of the family wants to stay in Englewood, Fl. Which is fine since I have Venice beach to play around and search for meg teeth. Are there any wrecks in the area worth diving and are there any local dive shops that anyone could recommend?
We will take a couple of days and run over to where I am more familiar with on the east side of the state. I am taking our newly certified daughter to BHB for sure and maybe go with JDC or UE for her first boat dives.
We are also stopping at Crystal River to do a Manatee kayak/dive on the way down and maybe hit one of the springs as well.
