Dacor is out of business, and I doubt any dive shops have service parts. I'm not sure if I would use the decor stuff for anything other than a pool reg to keep my nice gear out of the chlorine.

As as for the rest silicone on masks dry out over time and neoprene shrinks and gets stiff. I used to look at used gear but the OLD stuff is not worth it and newer items there is not much of a discount.

You can find a starter set with BCD regs and console for $500-600. Check out packages. If your going to travel to dive get a good reg set and computer and rent BCD, tanks etc at destination. If you do local diving add BCD, (wetsuit depending on water temp) then tanks.

In special situations such as wreck or cave dives, the console can be stowed inside the pocket and removed only when necessary.

Lol..

$300???

I'd offer $30 for the fins..maybe. They look OK in the picture. I think they're discontinued Tusa Platina's:

The HUB is one of those failed experiments in total integration that never worked.
and pneumatic powered inflation/dump control.
Not exactly the best idea ever thought of...

That stuff is all at least a decade old. I think you can still get the Viper serviced at at a few places that still have the parts. When Mares bought out Dacor most of the molds were destroyed so all the parts still available are NOS. 2nd stage parts are likely proprietary to that model due to it's design/shape also so will be harder to find.

Since the BCD uses a non-standard inflation system you can't even update it with a conventional $25 inflator hose - even if it still holds air.

craigslist often has some good deals on used gear. This isn't one of them..

If I may be so bold, generally most modern scuba gear is perfectly fine, BUT not this set up, it was produced for a short time, was a poor seller and of course Dacor was bought out. As mentioned there are far better ways to get more bang for your buck. Have a look at diverightinscuba and their packages, this will give you a great benchmark to judge others.

My first BCD and reg came from scubatoys.com. Scuba Diving Packages BC and Reg Packages with reviews on sale

My first set was Aeris but as they were bought out by oceanic. There are a lot of deals out thereif your not in a hurry. I do like a lot of the Mares gear that is out right now. The mares prestige BCD is really nice for the $$$
